How do we get it?

If you are a Starter, Pro or Enterprise client, please contact your charity partner manager or email salesforce@tiltify.com and let us know your interest

If you are a Basic (free tier) user, please email salesforce@tiltify.com and let us know your interest and we will have someone work with you.

Please be sure to have your Salesforce ID ready as we will need that to enter your order.

How long with it take to set up?

We’ve heard that installation and configuration takes roughly 1-2 hours.  Installation itself takes only a minute.

What does it do?

By mapping up to 5 objects (Campaigns, Donations, Fundraising Events, Teams, and Users) you will be able to pull data unilaterally from Tiltify into Salesforce and keep record of that activity.  Many charities will use Salesforce to cultivate and manage relationships with fundraisers and donors that consent to be contacted by the charity.

Note: this is not bi-directional so data cannot be pushed into Tiltify from Salesforce.

If a donor does not want to be contacted is there a way to flag that in their Salesforce record?

The “can contact” field is returned with donation, not donor record.  It is possible to use Salesforce automation to get the “can/cannot contact” appearing alongside donor record. Your Salesforce admin would be the resource for this.

Are Tiltify campaigns going to have both a date for when they were imported and a date for when they occurred?

Yes, Salesforce will have created by/when and you can map start/end date of the campaign to fields in Salesforce, this way you can keep import dates and actual campaign/event dates separate.

What happens when we import a contact record that is new to Tiltify but exists in Salesforce already?/ How do you handle duplication management?

Donor records will come in and create a new contact if they don't match with an existing record's Tiltify ID.  Duplicates can be solved by merging, or potentially seeding the existing records with Tiltify IDs if you have access to those.

Tiltify doesn’t require donor first and last names, what will be imported into Salesforce? How will it appear?

It will create a record with only email address and should be related to any donations that were made. Other fields will remain empty/null.

Tiltify data doesn’t seem to include donor or fundraiser names- why is that?

In terms of fundraiser name- we provide the username that fundraisers use to fundraise on our site and take pride in using!  Don’t be shy about using usernames to address them!

For donors, we’ve always prided ourselves on presenting a very low barrier to completing a donation.  We require an email address and do ask for first/last name when donors create an account, but the only mandatory information is emaildonors appreciate this!

Is there a real time flow of data directly into Salesforce from Tiltify?

You can schedule to have data imported daily at a given time automatically as well as conduct ad hoc data imports whenever suits you. All data flows into a holding tank where, barring errors, it will then flow into Salesforce.

Will we be notified of errors in the holding tank?

At this time, no. It is best to periodically check the holding tank for errors.

What data will I have access to?

The data that organizations can ingest via our API for Salesforce matches data access based on your organization’s tier.  Basic, free tier users will have access to donor data and usernames.  Starter, Pro and Enterprise users will have access to all data. Please take a look at the data structure article below to see specific data included.

Can I access Overview of Tiltify Objects that can be imported into Salesforce.com/ Tiltify’s data structure?

You absolutely can!  We have a separate article dedicated to this here

Is there a recommended object mapping?

We recommend the following. We based this recommendation off interviewing several charity users about their needs and use cases before designing the integration.

What about Lookup fields?

Here are the fields that can be mapped to standard Salesforce fields:

For some objects, you will have to create custom lookup fields for your two related objects (if these objects don’t already have lookup fields to the objects you need in your org):
