Creating an Auction House
Click "Create an auction house" then complete the following details:
Select a fundraising event from the dropdown menu (optional).
Enter the name of your auction house.
A link to your auction house will be automatically generated, but you can click "edit" to customize this link.
Provide an email address for bidders to contact you. This will be shown publicly.
Set a fundraising goal amount (e.g., $100.00).
Add a description for your auction house to share an overview to the bidders.
"Time to Complete Payment" specifies how long the winning bidder has to complete the payment. The default is 1 day, and the maximum length is 7 days.
Toggle on "Publish auction house" to make this visible to the public.
Check "Automate fallback bids" to offer items to the next highest bidder automatically if payment is not completed in time.
Finalize the details and click "Create auction house"
Managing an Auction House
Auction houses will be listed on your main Auction House dashboard. To customize and add items to an auction house, click "edit". Navigating an auction house is made easy with the following tabs.
Dashboard
This section allows you to view the auction house, copy the auction house URL, generate a QR code, and download a report of the auction items.
Setup
The Setup tab is where you can view and update the information for your Auction House. It's where you go to publish your Auction House, and retire it once your auction is over. If you haven't published your Auction House and there hasn't been any bids, you'll also be able to delete the Auction House in the Setup tab. It's also where you can toggle between automatically or manually emailing the next highest bidder if the highest bidder misses the payment window.
Branding
You can add a header, avatar, toggle what displays on your Auction House page, add social links, and create an overlay for your Auction House. There are three tabs in the branding section, Design, where you can manage your header (recommended size 1440X530px) and Avatar (recommended size 400x400px), Social Links, where you can enter links to your social media profiles, and Overlays, where you can create and manage your overlays.
Auction Items
The Auction Items tab is where you can view, manage, and Create auction items.
IMPORTANT: Once an auction item has ended, it can no longer be edited. You may unpublish an item if it hasn’t received any bids yet, but once a bid is placed, no further changes can be made.
Winning Bids
This section allows you to view who won your auction items, send or resend them their winning bid email, and view if the payment has been received for an item. You can track which winning bid donations haven't been completed in the Waiting for Payment tab, and view winning bid donations that have been completed in the Payment Received tab. If a winning bidder can't locate their email with information about making their donation, you can resend it by clicking the [resend winning email] button. The email of the winning bidder is hidden for privacy, however you can click to view the email address.
Conclusion
The Auctions dashboard is a convenient way to manage all aspects of your fundraising auctions. It allows you to easily track items, monitor bids, and oversee the entire auction process.
